Why?
Peter's interest in racehorses began in 2001. His mother was secretary to the secretary of the VATC (the legendary Harry Way) before she was married. Maybe that's where it originated but it took a long time to take effect, given that she passed away in 1973. Starting with Engage Her in 2001, through Rob Slade & Lee Freedman, all the horses have got to the races.
The Stable
Engage Her, Truly a Dane, Hot Tropics, Hot Rossa, Dravid, Greenmount Belle, Too Many Reds, Faith'N'Courage, One More Red and Hazy Blur have all retired. Apart from Engage Her, raced with Slade Bloodstock and then just by the owners, the others all raced with the legendary Joe O'Neill through his Prime Thoroughbreds group.
Reneged
The image at the top of this page is one of the truly great racing images. It is © Trackside Photography and courtesy of Prime Thoroughbreds Pty Lyd. It is of Reneged winning at the Sunshine Coast on Friday 27, May 2016 giving Blake Shinn the ride of his life when he jumped a shadow that was not picked up in the image. What a shame I did not buy a share in this one!
Come race!
Why don't you have a go at owing a horse? Prime Thoroughbreds are a great organisation to have a horse with.
More winners, more often, more fun.
I have also been the Webmaster of Prime Thoroughbreds since 2014.

Too Many Reds
The best I've had! Winning at Doomben 2012.

Greenmount Belle
A great racer in Tasmania!

Faith'N'Courage
Half sister to Too Many Reds.
With breeding of Foreplay out of Red Centre, the suggested name of 'This is the Spot' was not approved.
"Peter should concentrate on more meaningful things than horseracing."
Are we related?
Concentrate on that, Peter.
"I have enjoyed every bit of my involvement in horseracing. Too Many Reds was my favourite and most successful one."
"When are you getting into another one?"
